Optical Engineer
Shanghai, CN
Responsibility
- Be responsible independently for optical lens design, optimization, tolerancing and related analysis. Knowledge in laser optics and laser material processing is a plus.
- Be able to carry out detailed analysis of performance evaluation, optical aberrations, stray light, back reflection and others. Proficiency in self-programmed macros or extensions of optical design software codes (for example zemax) is highly preferred.
- Capable of both geometrical optical theory and physical optical principles.
- Review detailed optical and mechanical drawings to support lens design and prototyping.
- Evaluate manufacturing feasibility and cost impact of optical parts.
- Drive prototyping testing, test setup, optical simulation, experiments and troubleshooting in prototyping and NPI (new product introduction).
- Be able to perform optical simulation and carry out experiment lab validation as a close loop.
- Generate and provide presentation and report in English on above topics, and communicate with cross-functional team internally and externally.
- Be involved in other supporting work.
