Financial Analyst

SUMMARY
JENOPTIK is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Rochester Hills Team. As a member of our team, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the month-end close and high-quality financial reporting for three business units. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience, and the desire to grow within our organization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
 Prepare monthly revenue recognition workbook
 Provide month-end reporting on project performance including gross margin variances and all other financial aspects.
 Maintains project set up and project close
 Prepare various journal entries such as: revenue adjustments, cost accruals, provision for loss
 Perform GL account reconciliations in accordance with IFRS - research and resolve discrepancies
 Publish key metrics including order backlog and labor utilization.
 Assist with preparation of business unit allocations and review of labor rates.
 Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries
 Support compliance requirements including internal and external audits
 Utilize ERP system to data mine information and perform analysis
 Financial support for budgets and forecasts.
 Other duties as assigned

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
 Intermediate-Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF,IF), Word, Teams, Outlook and ERP Systems
 Ability to work quickly with attention to detail
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 Attention to detail and aptitude to minimize reliance on error-prone manual processes
 Professional judgement to assess and recommend solutions to issues
 Discretion and integrity in business dealings
 Time management and commitment to meet financial reporting and forecasting deadlines
 Thrive on learning and suggesting new processes, systems, concepts, ideas, topics, etc.; and
 Flexibility to be available outside of normal work hours to provide support on urgent matters

REQUIREMENTS:
 Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
 3-5 years of relevant experience
 Knowledge of IFRS and percentage of completion accounting a plus.
 US Citizenship or Qualified U.S. Worker
