Inventory Control Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):

  • Perform Inventory Movement transactions using SAP Software.
  • Maintenance of Physical Inventory which includes; storing of physical inventory in secured area, prepare kitted assembly parts for the assembly team in addition to servicing assembly team with any/all material requirements as needed.
  • Maintain the most current parts requirements in the assembly kit room area by; cycling out left over parts from completed orders, maintain records and perform SAP transactions of old and obsolete parts and physically move parts to the appropriate storage location.
  • Data entry for receiving documentation, issues, warehouse location transfers, shipping documents and cycle count adjustments.
  • Supports and Delivers Standard Inventory Reporting, works with Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accuracy.
  • Supports Inventory Control Specialist with monthly physical inventory counts and closings in SAP, cycle counting as required, year-end auditing requirements and any additional support necessary to ensure the accuracy and availability of materials located at all relevant plant locations.
  • Communicates inventory levels and locations with Production Control, all department managers, and purchasing
  • Support planning and production functions by releasing and kitting work orders as needed.
  • Support operations and production with job sheet updates.
  • Perform shipping and receiving duties as needed.
  • Incorporate Lean Manufacturing Principles relative to Inventory Management. 
  • Suggest continued improvement ideas for handling storage and maintenance of Inventory.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years of experience using SAP or Oracle Software.
  • Associate’s Degree with 3-5 years of experience preferably in an inventory position.
  • 3-5 year minimum work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of inventory control principals, physical inventory protocols and accounting practices are
