General Ledger Accountant

Here’s what an ordinary day of work might look like:

• Maintains and analyzes Accrued Liabilities and Prepaid Expenses. Other Income and Other Expenses Schedules and related postings to the General Ledger.
• Reconciles JENOPTIK Smart Mobility Solutions Simpay credit card program. Initiates payments to related municipalities.
• Performs monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, prepares journal entries, and assists with month end closing.
• Assist in maintaining Customer and Vendor Master Records in the Master Data Governance (MDG) System.
• Provides support in the determination of Customer Credit limits including D&B reports and responding to credit inquires.
• Ensures that financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted company policies and practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 1 - 2 years related work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with ERP systems a must; SAP highly desirable
• Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) a plus
• A keen eye for detail, highly organized and efficient at all tasks
