General Ledger Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Maintains and analyzes Accrued Liabilities Schedules and related postings to the General Ledger.
- Reconciles deferred revenues and prepayment schedules.
- Performs monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, prepares journal entries and assists with month end closing.
- Assist in maintaining Customer and Vendor Master Records in the Master Data Governance (MDG) System.
- Reconciles Inter-Company activities for multiple reporting units – both Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss activities.
- Assists with the review and approval of Employee expense reports, reconciliation of credit card statements.
- Provides support in the determination of Customer Credit limits including D&B reports and responding to credit inquires.
- Ensures that financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted company policies and practices.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data, assists with audits.
- Analyzes current procedures and recommends changes to develop and implement best practice accounting procedures.
- Performs other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- 1 - 2 years related work experience
- Strict attention to detail, highly organized and efficient
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with ERP systems a must; SAP highly desirable
- Knowledge of International Accounting Standards (IFRS) a plus
- Ability to work with others in complex management matrix structure
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess “soft skills”: conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills
- Expertise in dealing with people effectively and politely
