Assembly Technician II

OVERVIEW:
Moderate level of skills acquired for assemble intricate optical-mechanical assemblies using high precision instruments and alignment software.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Knowledgeable on reading optical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Basic knowledge on using alignment station and software to assemble complete systems with precision decenters and TIR’s.
- Ability to perform repeatable measurements using height stand and drop indicator for elements and air spaces.
- Ability to cement doublets and triplets.
- Ability to assess that elements being installed meet drawing specifications for surface quality.
- Experience using various bonding compounds.
- Proficient use of Excel to record data into build sheets for engineering recomp.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Proficient using Word, Excel, Outlook, and other specialty software used in a lab environment.
- Able to Read/Write English
- Good interpersonal and communications skills both written and oral.
- Ability to work with all team members in the department and the company wide
- Able to multi-task.
- Attention to detail.
- Standard Vision Test is required
