SUMMARY
The role of Assembly Technician II utilizes a moderate level of skill to assemble intricate optical-mechanical and optical-electronic assemblies using high precision instruments and alignment software.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO):
▪ Assembly of moderately complex optical-mechanical and optical-electronic assemblies.
▪ Knowledgeable on reading optical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
▪ Voice improvements and issues affecting productivity of the team (rework, supplies, equipment, etc)
▪ Where required:
o Basic knowledge on using alignment station and software to assemble complete systems with precision decenters and TIR’s.
o Ability to perform repeatable measurements using height stand and drop indicator for elements and air spaces.
o Ability to cement doublets and triplets using Opti-Alignment station.
o Ability to assess that elements being installed meet drawing specifications for surface quality per mil-spec and ISO standards.
o Experience using various bonding compounds
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
▪ Performs all other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
▪ 2-3 years of experience in Optics / Opto-mechanical/Opto-Electronic Assembly.
▪ High School Diploma or equivalent.
▪ Able to multi-task and prioritize work assignments.
▪ Ability to read/write in English.
▪ Attention to detail.
▪ Team player.
