Your responsibilities
- Planning and management of development projects with high complexity for demanding optical systems in close cooperation with internal and external customers in a self-responsible and proactive manner
- Transfer of products into production / series production with responsibility for the establishment of product-specific processes
- Development of proposals for product and process improvements and decision templates for shaping the product/technology portfolios
- Identification and independent support of development partners and suppliers for the realization of new products
- Assumption of system responsibility and creation of specifications and offer documents for development projects including the realization of prototypes, pilots and series products
- Technical management of colleagues as an internal, project-related client as well as for solving complex problems
- Processing of technical results and strategy templates for senior management
Key qualifications:
- Recognized expertise in the development of complex optical or optoelectronic systems
- Diploma, Master’s or PhD in physics or an engineering degree
- Pronounced analytical ability combined with independent, conceptual and innovative work
- International mindset combined with the joy of working in a team in an interface-intensive role
- Structured and organized way of working, communication and conflict resolution skills, sense of responsibility, service and customer orientation
- Pronounced knowledge and experience in the development of complex products with optical, optoelectronic or microtechnical functionality, preferably in an industrial environment
- Comprehensive expertise in the field of manufacturing technology of optics and precision mechanics as well as experience in dealing with international customers, development partners and suppliers are particularly advantageous
- Demonstrable experience in project management and dealing with know-how and IP protection as well as patent strategy
- Good German language skills and fluent English language skills
