Photolithography Engineer, 2nd shift

  • Perform production support of all photolithography processing for efficient completion of orders/WIP
  • Process owner of key processes & equipment:  Spin coat/develop tracks, mask aligners, front-to-back aligners, projection photolithography, chemical wet processes
  • Coordinate and assure completion of production orders from photolithography through etch.
  • Utilize metrology methods including thin film metrology, optical profilometry, AFM, SEM to characterize process results for direct feedback/ process control of photolithography processes
  • Assist Fabrication Technicians with technical issues or problem resolution;
  • Assist Equipment Technicians with troubleshooting photolithography equipment issues
  • Perform process optimization for improving photolithography process yields, evaluate/validate photoresists for incorporation into production processes
  • Develop new procedures and documentation of processes for fabrication & development jobs
  • Train new employees and provide training for all employees on new or revised procedures;



  • Present Processing Results: Be adept in presentations and technical report writing.
  • Use Design of Experiments (DOE) to develop & refine photolithography processes

Performs all other duties as assigned


BS degree in related technical field (semiconductor, MEMS, optics, other engineering)

2+ years of relevant professional experience with photolithography in semiconductors, micro-optics [Wafer based Diffractive and Refractive optics], or MEMS fabrication in production and/or R&D – in clean room manufacturing environment

Experience with I-line projection photolithography on Nikon, Canon, ASML or similar production tools.

Proficiency with film thickness &surface metrology methodology/equipment operation, microscopy, inspection

Professional or Institutional experience with process understanding of photolithography processing including wafer cleaning and preparation, full photoresist processing – spin coating, developing, stabilization,  process characterization, inspection methods, production best practices.

Excellent with Excel, Data Analysis, Mathematics, Matlab

Excellent organizational skills

Must be detail oriented and driven for excellence; Data-driven and analytical nature

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Must possess “soft skills”: conflict resolution and negotiation, personal effectiveness, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, team building, and influencing skills

Expertise in dealing with people effectively and politely

Safety conscious, environmentally responsible
