RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Responsible for coordinating the movement of production orders through various areas of the manufacturing operation; including photolithography, plasma etching, wet etching, metrology dicing and optical inspection.
- Flag all products and materials that fail to meet specifications and communicate scheduling issues, and delivery delays to management team.
- Maintain schedules regarding production, workers, progress and deadlines.
- Works with team leads, engineers and team members to ensure maximum production effectiveness by identifying quality, yield, and productivity issues and adjusting work priorities and resources as needed.
- Work with team leads, engineers, and maintenance to identify material, process, and equipment constraints and generate solutions to mitigate their impact on production schedules or escalate issues to management team.
- Take a leadership role in leading daily shift floor scheduling meetings with the production team keeping everyone informed of priorities, critical issues, and customer deadlines.
- Track and manage daily manufacturing workload and shift performance against plan.
- Perform a wide variety of expediting duties to ensure timely flow of raw materials, parts, assemblies, or finished goods from the external and/or internal suppliers and make adjustment to schedules as needed.
- Remain organized and on top of scheduled shipments and production goals in support of customer shipments and ensure open order tracking system has most current information related to customer open orders.
- Generate daily production status reports and escalation plan for past due work orders.
- Revise production schedules as needed due to vendor issues, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions while collaborating with management as needed.
- Responsible for monitoring, controlling and improving Work In Process (WIP) flows. Report on conflicts to flow and work capacity, communicate priority changes and address the consequences and impact of those changes.
- Be aware of cause-and-effect relationships in Operations as they effect flow, capacity, data, work distribution and related topics.
- Collect and issue routine information on shipping requirements, late shipments, work order delays, backlog, scrap, and yield issues.
- Understand and comply with all company safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate ability to follow safety procedures in operation of equipment and processes in assigned area of responsibility.
- Must be detail oriented and capable of working effectively in a team environment.
- Meet normal attendance requirements including accurate time keeping data entry, timely reporting of absences, and working overtime as required.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent, Associate’s Degree or higher level education, preferred.
- Minimum of two years of production control experience (planning, scheduling, expediting, supply chain)
- Minimum of two years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of two years of experience working with an MRP system (SAP/Oracle).
- Knowledge of purchasing, supply chain, LEAN principles of planning
- Strong written and verbal communications skills with all levels of employees within the organization.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented, driven for excellence, demonstrate excellent workmanship, good dexterity for handling high value, very fragile wafers and optical components.
- Excellent analytical problem solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and use initiative to meet customer commitments.
