Role Description

 

The TASCAR Delivery Manager is responsible for the design and delivery of Jenoptik TASCAR projects from the point of sale through handover and any ongoing maintenance, ensuring projects are successfully delivered on time, in line with all contractual requirements, and on budget. We are looking for individuals who strive to exceed the needs of our customers, paying close attention to the management of project finances with a view to maximizing revenue and profit.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and to tight timescales while managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively. The role encompasses aspects of planning, customer liaison, technical ability, and financial management so attention to detail and high standards are a must. This role will work closely with various departments throughout the organisation, the ability to build and maintain strong relationships will be key to effective working practices.  We are looking for highly motivated individuals to continuously help improve the way we work, in serving our clients’ needs and delivering a quality service.

Core Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with CDM legislation and contractual obligations.
  • Prepare project documentation and plans sufficiently detailed to allow the Jenoptik staff involved and other stakeholders to deliver the project in accordance with the customer’s expectation.
  • Monitor project delivery to ensure all risks are identified and tracked consistently.
  • Work within the framework of QEMS.
  • Provide regular project progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project data security is compliant with GDPR regulations and customer requirements.
  • Ensure that all project documentation is correctly titled, numbered, signed (as required) and saved to the appropriate project folder on the company’s file server.
  • Attend the internal project start up meeting to meet with Sales and Finance to fully understand the scope and expectations of what exactly has been sold.
  • Cross-function activities with Production Department where equipment is required, ensuring clear instruction and adequate timeframes are observed - resource requests should be made as early as possible in the project timeline and be agreed with the Head of Production.

  • Compile documents and oversee verification and validation testing (e.g., calibration and RSS evidential Trial documents)

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience in a project management role, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, particularly in a roadside environment, accreditations would be an advantage.
  • Experience of ANPR and / or Enforcement systems.
  • Experience of managing and / or delivering TASCAR projects.
  • Current UK Driving Licence.

 

Desirable but not essential:

 

  • Health & Safety training and accreditations
  • Current PRINCE 2 Certificate 
  • Installation and configuration of computer operating systems and applications
  • Experience of working under a Quality and Environmental Management System
  • Knowledge of Back Office equipment relating to ANPR and enforcement projects
  • Experience of Microsoft Project
  • Knowledge of wireless communication systems
  • Awareness of Quality and Environmental Management Systems and ISO9001/14001 in particular
  • Current ECS Card
  • Current SMSTS Qualification
