Manufacturing Engineering Applications Specialist

The Manufacturing Engineering Applications Specialist at Prodomax Automation Ltd. will provide process & manufacturing expertise, direct support of ongoing efforts to secure new business opportunities and provide our clients with best-in-class manufacturing solutions. The position works collaboratively within the Sales Team, and reports directly to the Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret and conduct analysis of incoming customer information, system layouts, cycle-time chart preparation, and schedule development,
• Support the sales teams by interfacing directly with internal and external customers,
• Creative, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented individual comfortable building strong relationships both externally and internally across all functions and at multiple levels within an organization.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of relevant manufacturing processes, technology, cycle times, and equipment integration costs,
• Ability to lead concept development, cost estimating, documenting proposals, process FMEA, risk analysis, and technical presentations for small to medium projects.
• Accountable for the quality and timeliness of work results as well as obligation made by the organization to our customers,
• Coordination with colleagues and suppliers to develop cost-effective and reliable process solutions
• Uses expertise in specialty, consultative, solution development skills to align the client's business needs with solution.
Qualifications, skills and abilities
• College/University Degree or Diploma in an Engineering discipline is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years direct experience in manufacturing and process development (i.e. assembly processes) and/or automation controls systems,
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and AutoCAD
• Ability to read CAD files and working knowledge of GD&T
• Experience with SolidWorks is an asset
