Prodomax Automation Ltd. is currently seeking an ELECTRICIAN to join our team.

 

Located in Barrie, Ontario, Prodomax is a specialized industrial engineering firm focused on designing complex automation with a blue-chip customer base since 1971. Operating from two facilities totaling 200,000 square feet with 200+ employees; we are ISO 9001:2015 certified.

 

The Opportunity

 

The Electrician will wire capital and tooling in our automated assembly and welding systems and will report directly to the Electrical Supervisor. 

Your level within the role will be determined by the skills and experience you bring when taking on this exciting career opportunity. 

Responsibilities are noted as you progress within the role.


 

Junior:

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge/understanding of the Electrical Safety Code.
  • Knowledge of wiring hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, robots, PLC’s and welders.
  • Assists in plant and equipment maintenance.
  • Responsible for electrical safety on a project.
  • Utilizes analytical skills to reach a clear and concise conclusion.
  • Experienced in wiring automated assembly/weld equipment.
  • Ensure all work activities are completed according to the procedures or best practice
  • Maintain quality, generate issues lists related to the equipment, and provide that feedback to the necessary departments
  • Travel to customer sites to install or service equipment at their facility
  • Some heavy lifting

 

Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED and Certificate of Qualification (Construction/Maintenance 309A).
  • 1-3+ years of direct working experience in all aspects of machine wiring
  • Minimum 1-year direct working experience
  • Experience in wiring automated assembly equipment
  • Forklift and Fall Arrest Licenses are preferred
  • Some understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics would be an asset
  • Experience with interpretation of electrical schematic drawings
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment with dynamic requirements
  • Passion for Safety, Health & Wellness

  • Effective working knowledge of Autocad design software is an asset

  • Experienced in wiring and trouble-shooting automated assembly/weld equipment
  • Travel to customer sites to install or service equipment at their facility

  • Ability to understand and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Knowledge/understanding of the Electrical Safety Code.
  • Strong knowledge of wiring hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, robots, PLC’s and welders.
  • Assists mechanical/electrical with design and BOM.
  • Assists in plant and equipment maintenance.
  • Responsible for electrical safety on a project.
  • Proficient in monitoring schedules/budgets and coordinating the workforce needed for effective project execution.
  • Utilizes analytical skills to reach a clear and concise conclusion.
  • Experienced in wiring and trouble-shooting automated assembly/weld equipment.
  • Ensure all work activities are completed according to the procedures or best practice
  • Maintain quality, generate issues lists related to the equipment, and provide that feedback to the necessary departments
  • Work within the project team to provide feedback to engineering to improve machine wiring efficiency and reduce cost
  • Utilize fundamentals in machine wiring practices to help engineering design equipment that will be cost effective and meet our customer needs
  • Travel to customer sites to install or service equipment at their facility, and be part of the team that starts up the equipment and completes the job onsite

What we Offer:

Competitive Annual Compensation:  *$61,900.00 - $96,900.00.

*The actual compensation a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
