Build Technician

SUMMARY:
The Build Technician assembles pneumatic and electronic control devices on Custom Design and Build Measuring Machines. The connection of all pneumatic circuits and the wiring of electrical components within the measuring system. The Build Technician assembles any safety guarding assemblies included in the measuring system.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pneumatic Panel Build.
- Labeling / tagging all pneumatic components.
- Connection of all pneumatic components.
- Installation of wireways and pneumatic ductwork.
- Installation of control panels, HMI units, and computers.
- Electrical Wiring of all measuring system components.
- Installation of guarding materials and fencing.
- Tagging all components, pneumatic tubing, and cables.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 – 2 Years in related field preferred.
- Associates degree in applied science or Trade School – Electrical Technician.
REQUIRED CORE SKILLS:
- Understanding of Pneumatic and Electrical Drawings.
- Hand Tools, (Drilling, Tapping, Jigsaw Cutting, Chop Saw Cutting).
- Wiring skills, (Cable and wire striping, tagging of wires and soldering).
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
OPTIONAL SKILLS THAT ARE HELPFUL:
- Overhead Crane Experience.
- ISO 9001 Awareness.
- Lift Truck Experience.
- Mechanical Assembly Skills.
- Ability to work to a timeline.
TYPE OF POSITION:
- Full time.
- Overtime is sometimes required to meet deadlines.
- Scheduled Time each week is in hours required; flex time is available with parameters.
