Long Description
Responsibilities
- Layout, design, and specification of optical components and systems;
- Analytical investigations, optimization, and tolerancing of optical systems;
- Interdiciplinary, project-oriented collaboration with internal and external teams;
- Customer support: understanding customer problems and developing solutions;
- Assessment of optical specifications regarding manufacturability and cost impact;
- Generating technical documentation;
- Technical support of operations;
- Developing software tools to improve efficiency and competence optical design process;
- Presenting results in English internally and externally for customers.
- Fulfill other tasks assigned by Line Manager.
Long Description
Requirements
- Bachelor degree (Master preferred) in technical subject (mathematics, physics, engineering, ...)
- Experience in optical design and corresponding software tools (Zemax, CodeV, VirtualLab, ..) is preferable;
- Good IT-knowledge. Programming skills (VBA, C#, ...);
- Existing experience (at least 2 years for bachelor degree) of product development with global team.
- Ideally experience in the field of optical metrology
- Analytical approach, creative and innovative mindset;
- Autonomous work-style, hands-on approach
- Customer-oriented mindset;
- Good communication skills;
- Eagerness to learn and improve.
- Willingness to work in international and intercultural teams;
