Project Manager

OVERVIEW:
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects meet all required deliverables including timing, profitability, and scope.
The Project Manager will promote collaboration among cross-functional teams.
The ideal candidate brings energy, open communication, and willingness to deal with difficult situations regarding project management activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILIITIES (Include but are not limited to):
- Gather, review, and communicate project intent, requirements, timing, budget, and scope
- Establish and manage project costs to proactively ensure budgets are achieved.
- Establish and maintain open issues, timelines, and Job Cost Summary reports
- Schedule and lead project gate reviews both internal and with customers
- Supports supply chain management by ensuring timely deliverables of key components
- Obtain customer approvals at key milestones to ensure timely invoicing and project closure
- Manage scope through change management process
- Maintain customer communication throughout life of project
- Schedule and facilitate lessons learned meetings
KEY DELIVERABLES
- Weekly and monthly project status reporting
- Bi-weekly Job Cost Summary reporting

- On-time project completion
- Achievement of project profitability
- Customer satisfaction
SKILLS & PROFICIENCIES:
- Pragmatic, respectful leader with demonstrated ability to guide and influence their team towards a common goal and objective
- Great communication and presentation skills
- Works well in fast paced, time sensitive environment
- Must possess soft skills for conflict resolution, negotiation and creative problem solving
- Highly proficient in Microsoft tools and ERP software
EXPERIENCE:
- College/University Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Business Management or equivalent
- Automotive industry experience preferred; ideally with an OEM, Tier-1, 2, or 3.
- PMP Certification is considered an asset.
- Flexibility for domestic and international travel.

- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Passport
- US Citizen or Qualified U.S. Worker
- Ability to travel internationally
